Making Sense of Us: If we human beings are to participate knowingly in the continuing evolution of our species rather than unknowingly in its extinction, it's crucial we understand that the sense we make depends on how we make it. But, it also depends on our being aware that it's we - together - who determine how we make the sense we do.




John De
akins: A social worker, John first trained at the University of Bristol and later obtained his Ph.D. in Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. After 3 years of practice in England and 6 in the US, he and his family moved to Canada where, for 22 years until 'retiring' in 1991, he taught at the University of British Columbia.
